Overlooking the Mersey River our Restaurant “The Cascades” promises an experience of great food and fond memories for our guests and visitors alike. The Cascades offers a unique dining experience in Nova Scotia, a Nova Scotia restaurant on the cascading Mersey River near Kejimkujik National Park; a great destination for your next Nova Scotia group tour. Enjoy our outside patio until the sun sets behind the trees and after dark, the illuminated cascades will keep you mesmerized for hours.

If you prefer to sit inside you can relax by the large granite fire place in the centre of the octagonal dining room. Our fully licensed restaurant offers a large variety of both local and international cuisine. We change our specials and deserts with the seasons to provide you always with fresh fruit and vegetables. Herbs grown in our own garden make the difference.

During July and August we will cook for you daily and we are open for breakfast from 8:00 am to 10:00 am and for Dinner from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. (Reservations requested).

Please call for opening hours in May, June and September as we are not open on a regular basis.

Our dining room is closed from October to May.

On request, year round, our Nova Scotia restaurant also caters to the needs of our customers by facilitating such specials as weddings and other celebrations, as well as family reunions, group lunches, Nova Scotia group tour functions and business dinners. Our Nova Scotia dining room may also be used for workshops and seminars for small groups. We would like to work with you to customize your event or work shop to make it a unique and special one.
